This year has been one of big change for me in some ways and no change in others.
I’ve completed a trip round the world by myself, heading off in January and back in March. More about this in January when I reminisce annoyingly about “This time last year…”
I celebrated my 30th birthday in style in Sydney, Australia. I was the first of my Irish family (aside from my grandparents) to visit my aunt in Brisbane since she moved there over 40 years ago. Sadly she passed away in July of this year so my visit was well timed in a way without me knowing it.
Aside from my round the world trip I’ve been to London, to a good friend’s wedding in Paris and went several times to Belfast and Kilkenny.
I have taken up blogging
I have met so many new people, some of them now counted as good friends. Old friends have been wonderful and supportive of my ‘career choices’ this year and believed in me
I have met countless new faces on a personal and professional level, not to mention those I have met through blogging (even before I had a blog, I might add!), and I look forward to doing more of the same in 2009.
I think I can safely say that 2008 has been one of my better years so far and definitely the one filled with most change for me-ever!
If 2009 is more of the same then BRING IT ON I say!
Happy New Year to you all xx
I hope 2009 is all you want it to be!
Hugs.
Happy new year Whoopsadaisy. Hope you get everything you deserve for it
Thank you both and a happy & healthy new year to you both xx
Happy new year hun, hope it’s everything and more you hope and deserve it to be!
