on my Facebook page. Or any other social networking site for that matter. I’m on there to check out what my friends and family are up to, to upload photos and become a fan of some new thing…not for this!

That’s a little sensitive of you Daisy. They’re both worthy ads.
so abortion is illegal in ireland but a company is providing free aftercare isnt that nice of them
@Jo – you’re probably right but I just think it’s the wrong place to have them. Maybe that’s just me being sensitive as you say. As for the Abortion Aftercare one, I came across this one a couple of months ago and ticked the ‘thumbs down’ sign to say that it was not relevant to me. I thought that would stop the ad appearing on my homepage and it disappeared for a while…but it’s back.
@PaddyinEngland I doubt the information services are illegal so it’s all above board 🙂
I think it’s a good attempt to direct advertising to where the intended audience will see it. The right age groups are on Facebook for both ads and it’s basically putting the information right in front of you and removing the necessity to think, which is probably useful for a lot of people. A lot of people might prefer to see ads on Facebook on a shared home computer rather than leave behind Google search histories for such things. But I do think that you just be able to click something once and not have to see them anymore.
